. - [S366] Kitty Foster J. Twarog, Twarog Email to Robert L. Adams, I do have quite a bit of information on the family of James and Elizabeth Morrison Ellis. My great great grandmother, Sarah "Sally" Ellis married John Satterly in Mercer County ?1828-1829.
Sally's father and mother moved to Harrison County early in the 1830s where James died, as you have noted, in 1836. There was another ?brother? of James Ellis named William Ellis who was in northern KY in Campbell or Boone County and probably came from Fauquier with him.
We are related but my papers and books are, literally, all over the floor. My relatives, John and Sarah "Sally"Ellis Satterley are actually in the court documents from Harrison County when they were considering relocating there and even bought some land. A close friend of mine[my DAR sponsor] went into DAR on the Gritton line [Mercer County, KY]..
[Sally's daughter, Tabitha, was my great-grandmother; John and Sally named their oldest son Elias Satterly and several Foster children named a son Elias [related to Tabitha's family.].
