Nancy Gravitt Stogdil is in the frilly blouse in the middle with a black skirt and lots of hair, her daughter Bertha Stogdill Leon is on the right with her spouse Charles O. Leon. The official date of this census was 1 JJun 1880. Other members of the household were Elizabeth Gravitt, James Bell Gravitt, Samuel Andrew Joseph Risen Christopher Columbus Gravitt, Virginia Rosealind Gravitt, Angeline Cordelia Gravitt, Mina Lucinda Gravitt, Albert N. Gravitt and Belle Myra Gravitt.8

Stogdill at Mark, Davis Co., Iowa, on 9 June 1885.4 Conflicting evidence states that Nancy Elizabeth Gravitt married Joseph R. Stogdill at Mark, Davis Co., Iowa, on 4 June 1885.6

Nannie Stogdill lived at Bloomfield, Davis Co., Iowa, on 30 December 1907.2

Nannie Stogdill was shown as the daughter of Elizabeth Gravitt in Elizabeth's obituary on 30 December 1907 at Centerville, Appanoose Co., Iowa.2

Nancy Elizabeth Stogdill was shown as the daughter of James Henson Gravitt in James Henson's obituary in April 1913 at Bloomfield, Davis Co., Iowa. She was listed as Mrs. Joe Stogdill of Bloomfield, Iowa.11

Nancy (Stogdill) and Rosie (Goode) outlived their husbands and in the 1950s lived together in a house in Bloomfield. It was a four-plex and Nancy lived upstairs and Rosie lived downstairs in two of the units. It was half a block from the Elementary school and a great place to stop for cookies and milk on the way home from school.12

Nancy Elizabeth Gravitt died on 28 March 1956 at Ottumwa, Wapello Co., Iowa, at age 87 years, 8 months and 26 days.4,5,6 She was buried at Davis Co., Iowa.4
