     Elizabeth J. Ellis was born say 1836 at Indiana.1 She was the daughter of Bradford Ellis and Elizabeth Ellis.1 Elizabeth J. Ellis was enumerated as Elizabeth Ellis on the Census of 11 June 1850. She is listed as age 14 and born in Indiana. She has attended school within the year.1

The name of his first wife was Elizabeth Ellis, who died Dec. 4, 1859. On Oct. 14, 1860, he married Mary Sellers, who was born in Dearborn Co., Ind., May 16, 1825; his family consists of twelve children, eight of whom are now living--Martha, Edward, Eliza J., John J., Wesley, William, Nancy and Nelson. Democrat; Religion, Liberal.
