     Nelson Ellis was born say 1858 (probably in Van Buren Co., Iowa).1 He was the son of Bradford Ellis and Elizabeth Ellis.1,2 Nelson Ellis was enumerated as Nelson Ellis on the Census of 18 June 1860. He is age 2 and was born in Iowa.3 He was enumerated as Nelson Ellis on the Census of 25 July 1870. He is age 12 and attended school in the last year. He was born in Iowa.4 He was on the tax roll in 1900 at Jackson Township, Van Buren Co., Iowa, He is listed as age 46 and he is in Milton Road Dist. 3, School Dist. 11.5
