County, Illinois and must have been born there. His grave stone uses his
commonly used name of Frank. His obituary lists Galesburg, Illinois as his
birthplace but there is no record of the family ever living in that area. It
also states that the family came first to Chanute by train and then to
Fredonia by oxen.
