William Peckham married Amanda Ellis, daughter of Elias Ellis and Nancy Gritton, between 1868 and 1869; The 1910 Census shows they have been married 41 years.1

William Peckham is head of household on the Census of June 1900 at Caldwell Township, Appanoose Co., Iowa, as William Peckham. He is shown as a white, male, born Feb. 1833 in Ohio. He could read and write. He was a farmer and owned the farm which was mortgaged. Also enumerated were Amanda Ellis.1
